Additional Info

  • The tour is run by train. The Cinque Terre are located 2h30m outside of Florence in the Liguria region. The villages can only be visited by train or boat so in high season due to the popularity of the villages, the trains could be very crowed  and subject to delays. Be prepared!
  • This tour is not suitable for people with walking disabilities and kids
  • We recommend you not to make any travel arrangements on the same day for when we return to Florence in the event of any train delays.
  • Don’t bring any valuable items on the tour. Thieves are frequent on the Cinque Terre.
  • In the unlucky event you are late and you miss the group, just take the first train to Pisa and you can meet the group there at 10.30am from Piazza Manin. Don’t forget to send a quick email to inform us so that the guide can meet you in Pisa.
  • In the summer months, 2 villages will be visited instead of 3 to allow everyone to relax longer in the villages and take a swim. Don’t forget to bring your swimming suit.

Reccomendations for off summer seasons:

Certainly winter is not the best time to visit the Cinque Terre, which are summer villages and mainly come alive from June until the end of September, however winter is the best time to appreciate the nature, the landscape and the quietness of this magic lands away from the summer crowds. A stop to Pisa before heading to Cinque Terre is a must.

FOOD & DRINKS From November until March the majority of the shops and local restaurants will close for their annual leave. We recommend to bring a packed lunch

FORECAST In case of rain we recommend you to bring a rain coat due to the wind on the villages and wear warm clothes

LANDSCAPE The paths on the national park due to the often land slides are closed by the local authorities every time is considered to be dangerous for the people.
