Certainly winter is not the best time to visit the Cinque Terre, which are summer villages and mainly come alive from April until the end of October, however winter is the best time to appreciate the nature, the landscape and the quietness of this magic lands away from the summer crowds. A stop to Pisa before heading to Cinque Terre is a must. 

This tour is a perfect opportunity for people aged 18-39's to make new friends and visit the best of the Cinque Terre especially if you have a tight schedule and can't spend a few days there. Thanks to our expert local tour leaders a full day to Cinque Terre from Florence will be possible and they will make sure you experience the most of it in only a day.

PLEASE NOTE:  

-The tour is run by train. The Cinque Terre are located 2h30m outside of Florence in the Liguria region. The villages can only be visited by train or boat.

- This tour is NOT suitable for people with walking disabilties.

-The paths on the national park due to the often land slides are closed by the local authorities every time is considered to be dangerous for the people. For this reason the famous " via dell'amore" is closed.

- In the event of bigger groups, the tour will depart from Florence to La Spezia by private coach 

- In winter the majority of the shops and local restaurants will close for their annual leave. We recommend to bring a packed lunch

- We recommend you not to make any travel arrangements when we return to Florence in the event of any train delays.

- In case of rain we recommend you to bring a rain coat due to the wind on the villages

CANCELLATION POLICY:  We travel by train so we are subject to the direct organisation and schedule of the local trains. Please read our terms and conditions in the event of a last minute train strike that will unfortunately stop us from running the tour.

Are you staying in Florence?

Meet the group in front of the pharmacy inside Santa Maria Novella Train starion opposite platform 16 at 7am. Remember don't be late, we travel by train ! In the unlucky event you are late and you miss the group, just take the first train to Pisa and you can meet the group there at 10.40am from Piazza Manin. Don't forget to send a quick email to inform us so that the guide can meet you in Pisa.

If you stay in Pisa and you would like to visit the Cinque Terre, meet our group continuing to Cinque Terre at 10:40am in Piazza Daniele Manin in front of the McDonald's right outside the Square of Miracles.

Detailed Itinerary

Certainly winter is not the best time to visit the Cinque Terre which are summer villages and mainly come alive from April until the end of October, however winter is the best time to appreciate the nature, the landscape and the quietness of this magic lands.

The tour leave early in the morning.  The meeting point is in Santa Maria Novella train station in front of the pharmacy at 7:00am. Here you will meet up with our guide who is going to take really good care of you for the day.

First stop is PISA, home of the must- visit Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Baptistry, Campo Santo and Duomo di Pisa (Pisa Cathedral). Here you will be free to walk around the square and enjoy taking as many funny pictures as your imagination can of the leaning tower. If you wish to climb the tower make sure you add it to your booking.

After Pisa we are heading to La Spezia train station where we will take the local trains that services the CINQUE TERRE, The Five Lands"; Riomaggiore, Manarola, Vernazza, Corniglia and Monterosso famous for their natural beauty, scenic trails, spectacular coast line and sunny beaches. 

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes because there is nothing best than exploring them on foot.Our first stop will be in RIOMAGGIORE, the first village where the guide will take you for an orientation walk  around the village and the “Via dell'Amore” , a romantic and evocative promenade hewn from the rocks falling sheer into the sea.

We will continue to the next village filled with boats called MANAROLA for amazing photos then to VERNAZZA where you will be free to relax.
