Meet our team at the train station in Rome and after a 1h00 ride by fast speed train reach Naples where we will catch our connection train to Pompeii, an UNESCO world heritage site covered by the eruption of the Vesuvio in the 79AD.
In Pompeii you will have 2h of free time to visit the site and learn about the Romans and their life style. Don't forget that if " you close your eyes, it almost seems like nothing has changed at all "... Entry tickets to the site and maps will be provided. You will be able to hire some audioguides or organise a guided tour with a licensed tour guide with us. In Pompeii you will also be able to join your tour leader for lunch and eat the famous Italian pizza.
After Pompeii we will head back to Naples where our tour leader will show you the best sights walking through the narrow streets and hidden corners of the city before leaving you for some free time to wander around at your own time. We will walk through the the old city centre passing by Spaccanapoli street, San Gregorio market and Piazza del Gesù. If there is still time we will continue towards Piazza Plebiscito, San Carlo's Theatre, Umberto I the gallery, Maschio Angioino and lots more. There is a lot of walking involved so be ready to sweat your pizza off.
We will retun back to Rome around 8pm.
